Angels Pitcher Nick Adenhart Killed Last Night

Posted by houstoncollector on April 9, 2009

While I have a lot of news to post today, it is with a heavy heart that I bring this to everyone’s attention.  MLB Trade Rumors has announced via TMZ that  Nick Adenhart, who pitched six scoreless innings for the Angels in only his fourth Major League start, was killed in a felony hit and run accident last night in Fullerton, California, as apparently a minivan ran a red light, causing Nick’s Mitsubishi to run into a light pole, killing him and two others, one of whom was also in the Angels organization.  The fourth person in the car is still in the hospital.

Our thoughts go out to the Angels and the families of those killed in this horrific accident.
