2009 Upper Deck Series 2 Hot Boxes

Happened to be browsing UD’s Facebook page and came across this tidbit that I’m sure people are going to be interested in:

A couple things for our facebook fans, if you haven’t opened 2009 MLB UD2 hobby, do it today. There are some great surprises in there and some boxes have a little more than they should. You may notice the same thing on 2008-09 NHL Be-A-Player. Hey, times are tough so we need to give back to the collectors a bit right???

Thank you to Upper Deck for doing this.  It may be because they’re worried about losing their license for MLB cards next year, but even with that, it’s nice that they’re going above and beyond in the base product.  I may have to save up for a box, and pull the lotto switch.
